About me

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, working at the intersection of numerical optimization, inverse problems, and machine learning. I obtained a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Parma, where I worked on learning variational models through bilevel optimization and unfolded algorithms.

My research focuses on designing algorithms that combine classical mathematical methods with modern deep learning techniques, with applications in image reconstruction tasks such as denoising, deblurring, and super-resolution.

Beyond academic research, I have hands-on experience applying these methods to real-world challenges, including technical work on industrial projects. In particular, I have worked on computer vision tasks for thermal imaging and on sheet metal bending sequence optimization for manufacturing applications.
